Direct Representation Program PDF Print E-mail

Esperanza attorneys provide direct representation in removal proceedings to a small number of detained clients.

  • We represent most children in detention at the Crittenton Shelter in Orange County
  • We represent a small number of adults in detention at the Mira Loma Detention Facility in Lancaster, CA
  • Through our Kids In Need of Defense (KIND) Fellow we represent a limited number of both released and detained children.

In general, Esperanza only represents immigrants who are detained, and we are unable to take outside clients at this time. Esperanza attorneys have successfully represented detained clients in a wide range of complex immigration cases, including Asylum, U-visa, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), Cancellation of Removal, and Naturalization cases.
