Scott Ventrudo

Pro Bono Senior Staff Attorney

Scott Ventrudo joined Esperanza in January 2023 as Pro Bono Coordinator. He works with our Pro Bono department to match attorneys with pro bono cases and support them as we increase access to representation for indigent immigrants in immigration proceedings. He also engages in Esperanza's recruitment and training of law student interns. A 2015 graduate of UC College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and a member of the State Bar of California, Scott has researched immigration law issues and adjudicated applications for immigration relief at the San Francisco Immigration Court as an Attorney Advisor and as an Asylum Officer at the San Francisco Asylum Office. He has also served as a Staff Attorney with Human Rights First and Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles. Prior to law school, Scott worked as an ESL teacher through Literacy*AmeriCorps and graduated from Colorado College with a degree in Romance Languages and International Affairs. Away from work, Scott loves exploring southern California with his spouse, Emily, and infant son, Noah.
