My experience at Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project was truly transformative and reaffirmed why I came to law school. From the very beginning, I felt at home. Everyone who I met at Esperanza was kind and welcoming.
One of the most meaningful parts of my experience was working on walk-in days. During these clinics, I had the opportunity to interact directly with community members seeking guidance, often at moments of fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability. Although I began at a time where there were many changes. I was not only able to learn but help a lot. This type of work changed my life for the better. I felt as though I had direct impact in people’s lives. I am beyond grateful for what I learned and took away from this experience. One of the best internships I have had thus far in my law school career.
